More about Rose Petals One…Two…etc…
The acrylic painting ROSE PETALS ONE (and also TWO, THREE…) or CRUCIALLY IMPORTANT ONE is part of a complex art work which name is CRUCIALLY IMPORTANT DISPOSITION OF FLUORESCENT PINK ROSE PETALS IN SPACE. This work exists in a form of drawings, ambiance, artistic installation, digital print, net art, computer animations and video.
The original inspiration for the entire project came from my favorite scene from a film “Little Buddha” by Bernardo Bertolucci. In this scene Buddha, who is in state of deep meditation, transforms numerous burning arrows that were attacking him into a plenitude of beautiful
rose petals falling down, very peacefully and gently, from the sky. The brutal dangerous energy and hostile intention was softly and easily transformed into its benevolent opposite, pure unconditional love and beauty.
I love this energy so much that I can never get tired of paying my full attention and awareness to every single position of each of those rose petals falling trough space. I can do it eternally.
It was joyful for me to make a capture from my computer animation of falling petals and then make a painting based on it.
Can you imagine a joy of painting petal-by-petal? It was blissful to enjoy painting with my favorite color, the divine fluorescent pink (or fuchsia). This was my deep meditation. I existed in timeless state; absolutely peaceful and content; petal-by-petal, instance-by-instance.
The capture from the animation was re-animated trough the process of painting. It is obvious that there are infinite possibilities to re-create some context eternally.
